Reelin', rockin' and dancin'! Watch first-ever official Chuck Berry video, "Big Boys"

Credit: Danny ClinchThe first-ever official Chuck Berry video premiered online Wednesday -- a clip for "Big Boys," the lead single from the late rock 'n' roll pioneer's forthcoming album, Chuck.

Directed by Matt Bizer and Curtis Wayne Millard, the video pays homage to Berry's late-1950s heyday by depicting a raucous high school dance. The clip focuses on a young boy who shows off his impressive dance moves alongside the older students at the bash, as a rock 'n' roll band led by a Berry lookalike rips through the rollicking "Big Boys." The choreography in the video mixes swing and hip-hop dance. You can watch the clip at Berry's official VEVO YouTube channel.

"Big Boys" features guest contributions by Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and up-and-coming roots rocker Nathaniel Rateliff.

Chuck will be released on June 9, and is Berry's first studio effort since 1979's Rock It. Eight of the 10 tracks on the record were written by Berry, who died in March at age 90. Produced by Berry and recorded in his native St. Louis, the album features his son Charles Berry Jr. on guitar and his daughter Ingrid on vocals and harmonica, plus other musicians who'd been working with him for years. Lauded blues-rock guitarist Gary Clark Jr. also contributed to the album.
